UTC Winter Retreat 09

The Way, The Truth, The Life



Wow! No words can explain how great this retreat was. The worships were intense, the skits were touching, and the talks and sharings were deep.

It was so amazing being on the other side of the spectrum this year. I went from participant, to leader. I was a bit skeptical about leading, being in music ministry, and being in a skit because i felt that i would have no time to sit and participate in what was going on during the activities due to practicing etc.. I admit that i was tired, and it was a bit hard to focus at times, but God provides, and i did what was needed of me when it was time.

Throughout the weekend i felt that i wasnt getting to much out of the retreat, but during the "touch game" i realized that it wasnt so much what i was getting from it, but what others were getting from what i was putting in. It was at that point that i realized why God had brought me to this retreat: To Serve, to Lead, and to Minister Music. I just praise and thank him for the wonderful opportunity and an awesome time! I had an amazing weekend!

PS. Big Ups to Music Ministry, CORE Team, Peer Mentors, Adult Volunteers, Kitchen Ministry, UTC General Members, and OXNARD! Without all of these people, this retreat would have been a disaster!
